The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently updated their reporting requirements for Meaningful Use. If you are planning to attest for Meaningful Use through your state Medicaid program for the 2018 reporting year, it is important to take note of the new requirements to make sure you are in compliance and do not receive any penalties on your reimbursement rate for the year.

GlaceEMR 6.0, a software offered by Glenwood Systems, a medical practice solutions company based in Waterbury, Conn., achieved ONC-ACB Electronic Health Records (EHR) certification via Drummond Group, LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) to test software for compliance with federal government requirements. The certification designates that the software enables eligible users to meet the requirements of various regulatory programs, including the Merit Based Incentive Payments System (MIPS) which incorporates many of the requirements from the Medicare/Medicaid EHR Incentive Program (i.e. Meaningful Use program).

Glenwood Systems announces that GlaceEMR was awarded PCSP 2016 (Patient Care Specialty Practice) Autocredit March 24, 2016 by NCQA. The PCSP recognition program for clinicians is designed to improve quality and reduce waste and poor patient experiences that result from poorly coordinated care. The program focuses on coordinating and sharing information among primary care clinicians and specialists. It requires clinicians to organize care around patients—across all clinicians seen by a patient—and to include patients and their families or other caregivers in planning care and as partners in managing conditions.

NCQA PCMH Prevalidation includes a rigorous evaluation of a submitted health IT solution’s functionality including but not limited to, reporting functions, report examples, screen shots, live demonstrations and other relevant documentation. Based on the review of information submitted above, NCQA approves or declines autocredit based on PCMH factor-level requirements and designates for which factors a product is able to “support” practices.

Glenwood Systems, LLC, GlaceEMR v5.0 has achieved 2014 Edition Complete EHR / Ambulatory * ONC Health IT Certification, which designates that the software is capable of supporting healthcare providers with Stage 1 and Stage 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). GlaceEMR v5.0 was certified on June 4, 2013 by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) and is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
